Belief is the resource
In folklore, an entity exists because people believe in it. In the duel that became Faith: the resource that rises by one each turn, up to ten, and pays for every legend you summon.
Saci, Curupira, Boitatá and 478 more legends from Brazil, Greece, Scandinavia, Japan and Egypt, in a turn-based card duel. You are a Summoner: you channel the belief of the people to call legends onto the field and erase the Memory of whoever stands across from you.

Duelo Folclórico is a Brazilian collectible card game. Every card is a real folklore entity, with the legend that produced it written on the card itself — from the roadside tale to the deity that made the world.
In folklore, an entity exists because people believe in it. In the duel that became Faith: the resource that rises by one each turn, up to ten, and pays for every legend you summon.
What you attack is the Summoner's Memory, which starts at 30. When it hits zero, that Summoner forgets their own legends and the match ends. There is no health and no wound here: there is forgetting.
A Sun and Moon cycle runs through the duel. Solar creatures grow stronger by day, Lunar ones by night — and a play that was perfect one turn ago may not be anymore.
Every deck has one main pantheon and at most one secondary — and a card from a distant land costs +1 Faith, because people hesitate to believe in it.
Alternating turns, a 30-card deck, at most two copies of any card. A match takes a few minutes.
30 cards, one main pantheon and at most one secondary. Divinity and Primordial cards only come in through the main pantheon — the mightiest legends are not lent out.
Faith starts at 1 and rises by one each turn up to ten, refilling completely every round. Creatures stay on the field; spells resolve immediately.
Despertar acts on entry, Legado on death, Guardião soaks up attacks, Oculto cannot be targeted until it acts — and the strike that leaves hiding takes no counterattack — and Ímpeto attacks the turn it arrives, creatures only on that turn — but if the enemy has none, the charge goes straight at the Summoner.
Each folklore offers the Summoner two Favours, and the deck picks one. It costs 1 or 2 Faith depending on which, and works once per turn. It is the card you always hold, even when your hand is empty.
